Kyrgyzstan ratifies agreement with Switzerland on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports

Bishkek, April 10 / Kabar /. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Swiss Federal Council on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports signed on September 20, 2016 in the city of New York", the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.

The law was adopted by the Kyrgyz Parliament on March 2, 2017.

The agreement provides for holders of valid national diplomatic passports exemption from visa requirements for entry, exit, transit and stay in the territory of the other Party for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days during a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days.

Ratification of this Agreement will facilitate mutual visits of holders of diplomatic national passports of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Swiss Confederation, expand the bilateral legal framework between the two countries and will promote the further development of political, economic and consular relations.

The law enters into force after ten days from the day of its official publication.
