Bishkek, Feb. 26, 2022. / Kabar /. The main result of the socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2021 was reaching a positive GDP growth rate, Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He said that the results of socio-economic development of the republic for 2021 demonstrate positive growth rates and are provided by the increasing rates of growth in the service sector and industries.
According to the preliminary estimates of the National Statistic Committee, in 2021, the GDP totaled KGS 723.1 billion, and the real growth rate was 103.6% (in 2020 - 91.6%), excluding companies developing the Kumtor deposit, the growth rate was 103.9% (in 2020 - 91.1%).
In the sectors of the economy, the indicators are as follows: in agriculture production declined by 5%, in construction - by 4.8%, and in industry the growth rate increased by 7.2%, in services - by 6.5%.
"Due to the emerging trends in the economy, in the structure of nominal GDP the share of industries producing goods was 41.4%, and the share of industries providing services - 45.2%," the minister said.
The decline in exports in 2021 compared to 2020 is due to a 3.2-fold decrease in shipments of gold, live animals - 1.8 times, equipment and mechanical devices - 20.9%, ore and concentrates of precious metals - 2.2%.
