Kyrgyzstan ready to provide all-round support to brotherly Kazakhstan if necessary, MFA

Bishkek, Jan. 5, 2022. / Kabar /. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan issued a statement in connection with the events in Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said in a statement:

“We are closely and anxiously following the latest events in brotherly Kazakhstan. The Kyrgyz Republic, proceeding from the strong family ties of the two peoples and the allied relations of the two states, is sincerely interested in the stable socio-economic development and prosperity of Kazakhstan. Kyrgyzstan has always been and remains next to fraternal Kazakhstan and is ready to provide any possible support and assistance, as it has always been in the history of relations between our peoples.

We are confident that the wisdom and foresight inherent in the Kazakh people and the country's leadership will prevail, which helpы maintain peace and harmony. We are convinced that this is possible only by combining all efforts and building a civilized dialogue within the legal framework. Today, more than ever, it is important to find a mutually acceptable solution and prevent further escalation of the situation.

Violence, lawlessness and provocations, as well as irresponsible calls for violations, will not lead to overcoming pressing problems, but only worsenы the situation of the common population. We sincerely wish peace, stability and unity to the brotherly people of Kazakhstan in the name of sustainable development of the country and the welfare of every citizen of Kazakhstan.

Expressing confidence that the neighboring republic is capable of independently and without outside interference to resolve the current situation, the Kyrgyz Republic, as an ally and strategic partner, once again confirms its readiness, if necessary, to provide all-round support to fraternal Kazakhstan."
