Kyrgyzstan received KGS 500 thsd in taxes from hotel business in 6 months of 2022

Bishkek, July 22, 2022. /Kabar/. In six months of 2022, Kyrgyzstan received KGS 500 thousand (about USD 6,275) of tax deductions from the hotel business, Kyyal Kenjematova, the Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism told during a briefing in Bishkek on Friday.

According to her, last year after the pandemic, the tourism sector in the country was restored by 30%, this year the department expects at least 50%.

"Last year, tax revenues from the hotel business amounted to KGS 231 thousand (about USD 2,900) over six months and this year we collected about KGS 500 thousand over six months,” the deputy head of the Department of Tourism added.
