Kyrgyzstan receives Grand Prix of tourism show in Korea

Bishkek, Aug. 15, 2022 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan received the Grand Prix as the best exhibitor at the 7th Korean International Tourism Show 2022 - "KITS", the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The exposition presented by Kyrgyzstan was recognized as the most interesting and informative at the show.

Managing Director of the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kairat Itibaev said that Kyrgyzstan received very good reviews at the tourism show. “Many of its participants, and these are almost 400 travel companies, 140 of which work for external tourism, noted the good tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed their readiness to send tourists to us,” he said.

At the same time such countries as Oman, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan and Colombia participated in the show. Kyrgyzstan was represented by the Tourism Development Support Fund, which opened its pavilion at the exhibition. The delegation included Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Korea Aida Ismailova, deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Nadira Narmatova and tour operators of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Visitors of the exhibition noted an interesting format for presenting information about Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz delegation did not just talk about the beauty of the country and its tourism opportunities, the presentation was accompanied by paintings by Samat Ishenbekov, specially brought by him to Korea, as well as videos in Korean, the report said.

In addition to participating in the tourist show, representatives of the fund signed three memorandums of cooperation - with the cultural center "Kyr-Khan", the Korean tour operator "Kyrgyzstan Air Travel", the Association of Students of the Kyrgyz Republic in Korea. In addition, the Seoul Tourism Association (STA), with which a memorandum was signed a month ago, expressed its readiness to send an expert group to the Kyrgyz Republic to analyze the existing tourism infrastructure and attract investment. And also consider joint projects for the digitalization of tourism services.
