Kyrgyzstan receives mobile laboratory complex from Russia

Bishkek, Dec. 7, 2021. / Kabar /. A handing over ceremony of a mobile complex from Russia is held at the Republican Center for Quarantine and Especially Dangerous Infections, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The donated complex will provide to conduct bacteriological and many indicative studies that may require emergency in the public health system.

It is noted that the event was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Uluk-Bek Bekturganov and representatives of the Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute "Microb".

“On behalf of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Russian government for its assistance and technical assistance in strengthening the material, technical and personnel potential of the anti-plague service of our republic. Special thanks to colleagues from Russia for training, transfer of experience in using mobile systems in emergency situations,” Bekturganov said.

“In the mobile complex on the basis of a KAMAZ off-road vehicle, two laboratories are organized - bacteriological and indication, which make it possible to conduct research on causative agents of dangerous infectious diseases such as cholera, plague, COVID-19 in compliance with all biological safety rules. The complex is equipped with two class III and II biological safety boxes,” said Ekaterina Naydenova, senior researcher at the Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute “Microb”.

The previously received 4 auto laboratories have proven themselves excellently during the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. They were deployed in regions, where there were no virological laboratories, and made it possible to cope with the dramatically increased volumes of virological studies of patients and contacts.
