Kyrgyzstan receives mobile microbiological laboratory worth 11.2 mln soms

Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2018. /Kabar/. A ceremony for the transfer of a mobile microbiology laboratory for rapid diagnostics of especially dangerous infectious diseases worth 11 million 200 thousand soms was held at the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The press service of the Ministry reported that the laboratory was purchased in the framework of agreements and contracts of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic with the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being of the Russian Federation and Microbe Saratov Anti-Plague Research Institute on cooperation in the implementation of the International Medical and Sanitary Regulations adopted in 2005.

Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Kosmosbek Cholponbayev, representatives of the Russian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Department of Disease Prevention and Sanitary Epidemiological Surveillance of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and others took part in the ceremonial transfer of the laboratory on wheels.

"This mobile laboratory will be used as part of specialized anti-epidemic brigades that set off during infectious emergencies, as well as for working in natural foci of plague and other especially dangerous infections. It has modern equipment and provides access to new and effective technologies in identifying quarantine and especially dangerous diseases, able to identify more than 40 infections. Since 2016, Kyrgyzstan has received three such laboratories. Their advantage lies in the fact that they are completely safe for the environment. One of the laboratories was involved in ensuring safety at the last World Nomad Games in Kyrchyna. It was decided that two of the received laboratories will go to Karakol and Osh, one will serve Bishkek and Chuy oblast,” Deputy Health Minister Marat Checheybayev told.
