Bishkek, Sept. 9, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan received the Sinovac vaccine in the amount of 150 thousand doses (75 thousand people) as a humanitarian aid as part of a bilateral agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
The press service of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan reported that Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev and Turkish Ambassador Akhmet Sadyk Dogan took part in the humanitarian air transfer ceremony.
In his speech, the minister thanked the Turkish government for its assistance in immunization and improving the health of the population of Kyrgyzstan.
This vaccine is available for all citizens reaching the age of 18. The interval between the 1st and 2nd doses should be 2-4 weeks.
Sinovac-CoronaVac vaccine is listed by the WHO for emergency use for the prevention of COVID-19 and has been reviewed by the WHO Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE). In the course of studying the effectiveness of the vaccine, it was found and complies with international safety standards, production efficiency. The vaccine is manufactured by the pharmaceutical company Sinovac in Beijing.
