Bishkek, Dec. 31, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has been recognized as one of the best countries in the world in implementation of national projects in the framework of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the press service of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (SAEPF) reported.
Today there was a meeting for representatives of ministries and departments responsible for ensuring radiation safety in the Kyrgyz Republic, where they summarized the activities in 2018 on the implementation of national projects in the framework of cooperation with the IAEA.
During the meeting, the SAEPF presented the final annual report on “Review of Cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency 2017-2018”.
In their speeches, the meeting participants expressed their gratitude to Abdykalyk Rustamov, Director of the SAEPF, for the effective and successful implementation of national projects in the framework of cooperation with the IAEA and expressed their commitment to a collective approach to radiation safety in the country.
They also highlighted the contribution of the SAEPF to the development of cooperation with the IAEA, since radiation safety is an important part of the national science and technology policy, which contributes to the development of national programs and serves as a catalyst for the technological and economic development of the country as a constant indicator of progress.
The SAEPF is the regulatory state bodies in the field of radiation safety in Kyrgyzstan; and Kyrgyzstan is recognized as one of the best countries in the world in implementation of national projects in the framework of cooperation with the IAEA.
