Kyrgyzstan Red Crescent continues to provide assistance to population during state of emergency

Bishkek, May 5, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan Red Crescent continues to provide assistance to state structures and vulnerable groups during the state of emergency period due to the COVID-19 coronavirus infection.

"In addition to support in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE), disinfectants and hygiene kits, the Red Crescent supports mobile teams by providing fuel and lubricants. Besides, food aid is also distributed among patients with HIV and tuberculosis," the press service of the Organization said.

From Apr. 18 to May 5, the Red Crescent provided the following assistance throughout the country:

• - 624 disinfectants;
• - 2,937 PPE;
• - 5,616 hygiene kits;
• - 2,784.8 litres of fuel;
• - 204,692 information materials for population;
• - 3,173 food packages;
• - 4,320 bottled water;
• - 1,057 hot meals for government bodies.
