Bishkek, Feb. 23, 2021. / Kabar /. The Department of Medicines and Medical Devices of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic issued a registration certificate for a combined vector vaccine for the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection Gam-COVID-Vac ("Sputnik V").
The press service of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry said that registration of the vaccine will allow the population of the republic to be vaccinated to prevent coronavirus infection in the near future.
This vaccine was developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Russian Health Ministry and registered in Russia in August 2020.
Gam-COVID Vaccine is a combined vector vaccine produced by a biotechnological method that does not use SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is pathogenic for humans. The drug consists of two components, each containing a recombinant adenovirus vector based on human adenovirus.
