Bishkek, March 19, 2022. / Kabar /. Russia proposed that Kyrgyzstan consider the possibility of building a biological laboratory of BSL-3 level, but the Kyrgyz side opposed the project, the Health Ministry of the republic reported Tuesday.
The project of creating a biological laboratory was discussed at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Russian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation, held on April 14 in Moscow.
As a result of the meeting, the Ministries of Health of Kyrgyzstan and Russia agreed to continue developing cooperation in the field of health, including through the expansion of direct links between medical, scientific and educational organizations.
The sides also decided to continue to increase interaction on joint research, prevention, and response to infectious diseases as part of Russian initiatives to promote international development.
