Kyrgyzstan reports 129 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2021 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported on Saturday 129 new COVID-19 cases raising the tally of infections to 82,986.

Among the new cases, 54 were confirmed in the capital city of Bishkek, 34 in Chui Oblast, 20 in Issyk-Kul Oblast, 4 in Jalal-Abad Oblast, 3 in Batken Oblast, 9 in Osh Oblast and 3 in Talas Oblast, according to data of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.

151 more recoveries were registered over the past day, taking the count to 78,866.

The death toll rose to 1,382 with one new fatality during the last 24 hours.

799 people are in hospitals with 44 intensive care units. In addition, another 1,009 patients are receiving treatment at home.

The country conducted 2,330 tests within a day.
