Kyrgyzstan reports 244 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, Oct. 4, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported on Sunday 244 new COVID-19 cases, raising the tally of infections to 47,428.

Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sabirzhan Abdikarimov said that among the new cases 14 are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 3,318.

According to data of the minister, the most of the cases are registered in Jalal-Abad Oblast.

The minister added that the increase in infected people in Jalal-Abad is due to the fact that there was a massive infection in one of the military units.

140 patients have recovered over the past day, raising the total recoveries in the country to 43,418.

The death toll stands at 1,066, no death was registered over the past day.

Currently, 1,078 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals throughout the country and 1,411patients - at home.
