Kyrgyzstan reports 308 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, May 22, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported on Saturday 308 new COVID-19 cases, raising the national tally of infections to 102,186, the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 reported.

A total of 332 recoveries were reported over the past day, taking the national count to 95,446 while 8 deaths were reported, pushing the tally up to 1,743.

Currently, 1,521 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in hospitals throughout the country, including 73 in intensive care units, while another 2,449 patients are receiving treatment at home.

A total of 4,918 lab tests were conducted in the country over the past day.

Kyrgyzstan has started its COVID-19 vaccination campaign on March 29, using Chinese-donated vaccine. Later, in April the country received Sputnik V vaccine from Russia.
