Kyrgyzstan reports 38 new COVID - 19 cases

Bishkek, May 24, 2020 / Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Health Ministry reported on Sunday 38 new COVID-19 cases in the country, bringing the total to 1403.

The country's Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev told a daily briefing said that among the newly infected, 2 are medical workers, raising the total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 to 275.

The number of recovered cases increased to 980 with 23 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, the official added.

There are currently 409 confirmed cases, who are still in hospitals, and 4 are in the intensive care unit.

In total, 1901 people who have had contact with infected patients are under medical observation.

Usenaev noted that 2234 lab tests for COVID-19 have been conducted across the country in the last 24 hours.
