Bishkek, May 16, 2020 / Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan reported on Saturday 6 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, raising its national tally to 1117.
Nurbolot Usenbaev, the country's deputy health minister, said that the most of them are truck drivers
“All new cases are taken under surveillance. All their contacts are being identified and registered,” he said.
Usenbaev noted that 38 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals after recovery in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 783, including 200 medical workers.
To date, there are 320 patients with COVID-19 being treated in hospitals throughout the country and 4 of them are in intensive care.
In addition, 2146 people who had contact with infected patients are still under medical observation while 5228 people who had contact with infected patients are under the supervision of doctors in home quarantine.
