Bishkek, May 30, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan on Saturday reported 60 new COVID-19 cases, raising its total number of infections to 1722.
The country’s Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev said at his daily online news briefing that among the newly infected, 14 are medical workers, raising the total number of infected medical workers to 344, including 247 recoveries.
He said that 25 people recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so far 1113 have been discharged from hospitals after showing improvement.
He noted that, currently, 593 patients are still in hospitals, and 5 of them are in intensive care.
The deputy minister noted that 2495 tests for the virus were held in the past 24 hours.
A total of 2137 people in the country who have had contact with infected patients are under medical observation, and another 7287 people are in home quarantine under the supervision of doctors for the same reason.
