Kyrgyzstan reports no COVID-19 deaths for second day in row

Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. No new coronavirus-associated fatality has been registered in Kyrgyzstan in the past day.

At a daily news briefing at the Government House, Deputy Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nurbolot Usenbayev reported that the country’s death toll from novel coronavirus stands at 1 thousand 58.

Meanwhile, Usenbayev urged people not to violate sanitary and quarantine measures. The deputy minister drew attention to the fact that people had relaxed and ceased to observe a basic mask regime.

Kyrgyzstan reported on Friday 128 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total cases registered in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 43,587.

Number of nationwide recoveries from COVID-19 has increased to 37,726 after 234 new ones were added.
