Bishkek, Apr. 22, 2020. /Kabar/. A woman with positive diagnosis of COVID-19 coronavirus infection died, she was 53 years old, the press service of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus Infection reported Wednesday.
The patient was admitted to the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital on Apr. 5 in serious condition and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
"Before that, she was receiving treatment at Kemin Hospital on Apr. 1-5. Woman has concomitant diseases - diabetes mellitus, hypertensive high-risk disease, heart disease," the report says.
This is the eighth fatal coronavirus-related case in Kyrgyzstan.
As of Apr. 22, number of coronavirus cases in the republic has reached 612, including 157 cases among medical workers.
254 citizens have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
7 have passed away.
