Bishkek, Sept. 22, 2020 / Kabar /. A gradual increase in the frequency of flights between Kyrgyzstan and Russia was discussed at the 22nd meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Russian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation, Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Erkin Asrandiev told at the final briefing.
He noted that gradual flights with Russia have been resumed since Sept. 21.
“Today we discussed the issue of gradually increasing the frequency of these flights,” he said.
Vice Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk noted that as the epidemiological situation improves, it will be possible to increase the number of regular flights.
Currently, a flight on the Bishkek-Moscow-Bishkek route operates once a week on Fridays.
Kyrgyzstan canceled all international and domestic flights since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March.
Earlier, Kyrgyzstan resumed air services with Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan and domestic flights were resumed on June 5.
