Kyrgyzstan, Russia to co-op to protect citizens detained in penitentiary institutions

Bishkek, Oct. 11, 2024. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Russia to Kyrgyzstan Sergey Vakunov met on Thursday with Director of the National Center for the Prevention of Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakytbek Kasymkulov.

The meeting took place in the Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek, the diplomatic mission said.

During the meeting, Kasymkulov and Vakunov discussed issues and the main directions of cooperation and interaction in the field of protection of the rights of citizens of Russia and Kyrgyzstan detained in penitentiary institutions of both countries.
