Kyrgyzstan, Sakha to hold number of joint cultural events

Bishkek, March 28, 2022 . / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and Sakha will hold a number of joint cultural events, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan said Monday.

Culture Minister of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Zhamankulov held a meeting with First Deputy Chairman of the State Assembly (Il Tumen) of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) and the Russian Federation Alexander Zhirkov.

Zhirkov thanked for the warm welcome and noted that he has arrived in Kyrgyzstan on behalf of Head of the Sakha Republic Aysen Nikolayev to hold bilateral events on the occasion of the celebration of very important events - the 100th anniversary of the Sakha Republic and the 125th anniversary of the outstanding statesman, one of the founders of the Yakut ASSR and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Kyrgyz SSR Maxim Ammosov.

The deputy chairman of the State Assembly of Sakha shared with Miister Zhamankulov plans for a number of cultural and humanitarian events in the framework of the anniversaries, highlighting the invitation to Sakha a delegation from Kyrgyzstan and holding the Days of Sakha (Yakutia) Culture in Kyrgyzstan this fall with a show, exhibition and other events.

The Kyrgyz minister supported the outlined proposals and approximate dates for the events, noting the readiness to provide assistance from the ministry in their organization at a high level.

"The meeting participants noted the importance of further work on the preservation and development of the cultural heritage of Yakutia and Kyrgyzstan, sharing the vivid example of the inclusion at different times of the Kyrgyz and Yakut epics in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, and as a result agreed to work closely on all issues,"the report said.
