Bishkek, March 2, 2022 . / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev met in Abu Dhabi with UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri, the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA said Wednesday.
During the meeting, the sides discussed topical cooperation issues in the field of environment, climate, expansion of exports and imports, food and agricultural products in the UAE, attracting Emirati investments in the field of hydropower, renewable energy and agriculture.
A special emphasis was made on the interaction and expansion of bilateral cooperation within the UN in the field of global climate change and environmental protection, including the green economy.
In addition, the sides agreed to hold video conferences in the near future at the level of experts of competent authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as trainings and seminars for Kyrgyz exporters on the conditions and requirements of export of agricultural products of the republic to the markets of the United Arab Emirates.
As a result, the two ministers agreed to maintain close working contacts to address issues of mutual interest.
