During his working visit to Riyadh, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev held negotiations with Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, the Minister of Environment, Water Resources and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The press service of the Kyrgyz cabinet reported that Kozhoshev thanked Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli for hospitality and assistance in organizing an exhibition-fair of products from the Kyrgyz Republic at the site of the multifunctional complex Digital City.
The first deputy chairman spoke about the potential of the republic in the agro-industrial sector and invited the Saudi side to invest in the manufacturing sector and agriculture.
In turn, Minister Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli expressed interest in investing in the energy, agricultural sectors and import of Kyrgyz organic agricultural products to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that meet the established standards.
As a result of the talks, an agreement was reached to determine the priority areas of bilateral relations, with the introduction of specific projects with calculations, approval of the roadmap and stages of its implementation.
At the business forum, two of the signed agreements concerned the implementation of renewable energy projects.
“We are ready to cooperate in this direction on a large scale. The world is gradually moving towards green economy and "smart" energy consumption through solar panels and other initiatives. We are interested in the development of this direction," Arzybek Kozhoshev summarized.
