Bishkek, Dec.26, 2024. /Kabar/. Since 2001, a program of vaccination of newborns against viral hepatitis B has been successfully operating in the country, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Acute viral hepatitis B among children is rarely registered.
“In general, among the population, the incidence of the disease has decreased by 9 times,” the report said.
In addition, the Ministry of Health noted that from November 2022, vaccination of girls 11 years old against human papillomavirus is conducted in Kyrgyzstan. This program is carried out according to the preventive vaccination calendar. To date, 240 thousand 287 girls have been vaccinated against HPV.
