Bishkek, Nov. 19, 2021 . / Kabar / . Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov held on Thursday a regular meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.
The current epidemiological situation was reviewed, as well as the progress of the vaccination rollout, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
Representatives of the country’s Health Ministry reported that there has been a decrease in the incidence of coronavirus infection in the country.
The Ministry of Health informed about the change in immunization tactics in terms of vaccination of pregnant and lactating women, as well as adolescents 16-18 years old.
"The pandemic is declining, a new wave of coronavirus infection predicted for the end of November does not threaten the country, the incidence rate has decreased. The epidemiological situation will be stable during the election period and on election day," Edil Baisalov said.
The deputy head of the Cabinet drew the attention of the Health Ministry to the low vaccination rollout among people with chronic diseases.
As a result of the HQ meeting, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy together with the Ministry of Health was instructed to restart an updated information campaign on vaccination.
