Bishkek, Dec. 5, 2024. /Kabar/. The level of enterprise productivity has increased in Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of the Board of the Guarantee Fund OJSC Malik-Aidar Abakirov said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency on Thursday.
He noted that the Guarantee Fund conducted a study of the PMI business activity index, which is one of the most significant economic indicators reflecting the state and dynamics of the economy in real time.
“On Oct. 1-28, 2024, the Fund conducted an online survey of business entities, in which 1,078 business entities took part. The survey involved business entities in agriculture (47%), trade (25%), services (19%) and industry (9%). 85% of the respondents represented regions of the republic, 15% - the business of Bishkek and Osh cities,” Abakirov said.
The chairman of the Board of the Guarantee Fund stressed that for the Orders component, 50% of respondents noted an increase in the volume of orders, 39% said that indicators have not changed, and only 11% said it had decreased. For the Production component, the majority of respondents (91%) said that production volume had increased or remained unchanged over the past 6 months compared to last year, of which 48% noted an increase in production volume, and about 43% said there was no change. Overall, production volume increased moderately. Only 9% noted that production volume had decreased.
"For the Finance component, the study data showed that the need for financing had not changed over the past 6 months for 44% of respondents. 31% of respondents noted an increase, and 25% of respondents said that the need for financing had decreased for various reasons.
The financing conditions have improved over the past 6 months for 42% of respondents, 48% of respondents noted no changes, and only for 10% of respondents the conditions have worsened,” Abakirov concluded.
