Bishkek, Aug. 27, 2020. / Kabar /. Oil traders have reduced the cost of the fuel basket by 17% on average since January this year.
According to the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Oil Traders Union, monitoring of the imported volumes and prices of fuel and lubricants is carried out constantly.
On the basis of the processed data it is noted that during the period from January to Aug. 25 of the current year, oil traders have reduced the cost of fuel basket (the aggregate of all oil products) by 17% on average.
"At present, oil traders in Kyrgyzstan keep prices in the retail network at a minimum level. Since the beginning of 2020, gasoline in Kyrgyzstan has fallen by 15%, diesel fuel - by 20%, in Russia the price of gasoline has risen by 3% over the same period, and diesel fuel has risen by 8%.
Nevertheless, no matter how good the dynamics may look, the Union of Oil Traders expresses its utmost concern with the current situation regarding further duty-free supplies.
Thus, as of Aug.1, according to the Federal Customs Service data on the declared volumes of duty-free supplies of energy resources, within the indicative balances 857.8 thousand tons of oil products were delivered to the Kyrgyz Republic.
