Bishkek, Feb. 17, 2023. / Kabar/. Last year, Hong Kong became the main buyer of Kyrgyz gold, importing more than 202 kilograms. Such data are given in the bulletins of the National Statistical Committee.
The total cost of deliveries of the precious metal from Kyrgyzstan to Hong Kong amounted to 11 million 979 thousand 304 US dollars. This is an average of 59.3 dollars per 1 gram.
It should be noted that in the last report of the National Statistical Committee on trade for 11 months of 2022, Hong Kong was not listed. Based on this, the export of the precious metal to China was carried out in December.
Turkiye is in second place in terms of imports of Kyrgyz gold, having concluded deals for the purchase of more than 83.47 kilograms. Their total cost is estimated at 789 thousand 654 US dollars. This is about 9.5 dollars per 1 gram.
Almost 4 kilograms 998 grams of gold were sold in the UAE at a price of $59.2 per gram. In total, Kyrgyzstan exported 290.5 kilograms of the precious metal last year.
