Bishkek, June 17, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan set a record for daily COVID-19 infections.
According to the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19, 787 coronavirus cases were registered across Kyrgyzstan in the last 24 hours.
Thus, the highest number of detected cases in January made 170;
- in February – 116;
- in March - 146;
- in April - 380;
- in May – 477.
According to the Ministry of Health and Social Development, 2 epidemiological rises of coronavirus infection was recorded in the country since the beginning of the pandemic: in July (number of registered cases in one day was 1,600) and in November (606 new cases in one day) of 2020.
Kyrgyzstan is undergoing the third COVID-19 outbreak, the rise of which was registered in April 2021.
In addition, earlier Deputy Health Minister Zhalalidin Rakhmatullaev reported that over the past 7 days, the reproductive number (contagion) Rt spread rate was 1.3.
The circulation of registered new coronavirus strains of British, South African, Indian can affect the growth of disease among the population if sanitary and epidemiological requirements are not observed.
The Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic urges citizens to observe elementary measures to prevent coronavirus infection - physical distancing, wearing masks, washing hands with soap or use antiseptics.
