Bishkek, May 12, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Kazakbaev held a meeting with Governor of China's Shaanxi Province Zhao Yide.
The meeting took place as part of Kazakbaev's official visit to the People's Republic of China on the margins of the second meeting of foreign ministers in the "Central Asia-China" format, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
During the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation issues between regions of Kyrgyzstan and Shaanxi Province in trade and e-commerce, health-care, education, humanitarian exchange, tourism, promotion of exports of agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to China, as well as attracting investors from Shanxi Province to the economy of the republic.
The importance of strengthening not only already existing twinning ties between Chui Oblast and Shaanxi Province, the cities of Osh and Xi'an, Moscow region and Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Zone, but also the establishment of new twinning relations was emphasized.
The Kyrgyz side expressed gratitude to the People's Government of Shanxi Province and Xi'an for the humanitarian assistance provided to the Kyrgyz side in the fight against COVID-19.
