Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2022 . / Kabar / . A meeting was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Singapore ivian Balakrishnan on the margins of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Vivian Balakrishnan, the foreign minister of Singapore.
The sides congratulated each other on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
The ministers also stressed that the signing of the Free Trade Agreement with Singapore in 2019 has opened new opportunities for trade and investment between the countries of the Eurasian Union, including between Kyrgyzstan and Singapore.
There was also an exchange of views on strengthening Kyrgyz-Singaporean relations, enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, tourism, as well as expanding the legal and contractual framework.
Jeenbek Kulubaev noted that Kyrgyzstan's current development focus is on "green" development, innovative, digital and creative economy. The Kyrgyz side is interested in developing cooperation with Singapore in the field of ecology, digitalization, human capital development and anti-corruption.
Regarding multilateral cooperation, the sides discussed the initiatives promoted by the parties within the UN.
