Kyrgyzstan, South Korea plan to hold joint cultural events

Bishkek, Oct. 15, 2021 . / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and South Korea are planning to hold joint cultural events, the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan said.

The Economy and Commerce Ministry hosted on Friday the 4th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Korean Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation chaired by Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev and Lee Seong-ho, the Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Korea.

"The high level of interaction in the field of cultural and humanitarian cooperation was noted with satisfaction. The similarities in culture and language of the two peoples, as well as the presence of common historical roots provide a favorable foundation for this cooperation. The Korean diaspora in Kyrgyzstan also plays a significant role in the development of friendship between the peoples and deeper understanding of Korean culture," the ministry noted.

In this regard, the Kyrgyz side is interested in the implementation of joint cultural events, as 2022 is the anniversary date of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, in which joint cultural events are planned, including cultural days.
