Bishkek, June 29, 2022. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Aida Ismailova met in Seoul with Head of the World Taekwondo Federation Chungwon Choue on June 28, 2022, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
The head of the World Taekwondo Federation noted that the athletes of the Kyrgyz national team were invited to the Asian Taekwondo Championship. He expressed the hope that the Kyrgyz Republic will soon raise and educate future Olympic champions in taekwondo.
Ambassador Ismailova noted that the Kyrgyz Republic pays special attention to the development of sports in the country and invited the Head of the World Taekwondo Federation to take part in the development of taekwondo in Kyrgyzstan and to assist talented athletes, the youth of Kyrgyzstan in fulfilling their dream of becoming Olympic champions in Taekwondo.
The sides expressed mutual interest in the development of Kyrgyz-Korean relations in the field of sports, and also noted the importance of exchanging experience, in particular, with qualified coaching staff. Issues of interaction and support for the development of taekwondo in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the preparation of the national team of Kyrgyzstan for the Asian and World Championships and the 2024 Olympic Games were discussed.
