Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2025. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has begun on January 1, 2025.
The first meeting of the CSTO Permanent Council this year was held on Thursday at the CSTO Secretariat, the organization reported.
The chairmanship in the CSTO Permanent Council was transferred to Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the CSTO Mirlan Turgunbekov.
The CSTO Secretary General thanked Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the CSTO Marat Syzdykov for his work in 2024 as the chairman of the Permanent Council.
The meeting also discussed the Organization's action plan for 2025. At the initiative of new Chairman Mirlan Turgunbekov, the Permanent Council formulated the motto of its activities in 2025: 80 years of the Great Victory!
