Bishkek, Nov. 2, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan has started to supply potatoes to Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Inspectorate for Plant Quarantine of Uzbekistan held a meeting in the middle of October in Tashkent regarding the export of potatoes from Kyrgyzstan. In the course of the agreement, the Uzbek side provided a list of 17 companies that are allowed to import potatoes.
Then a contract was signed between entrepreneurs of Issyk-Kul oblast and Namangan Universal Savdo Invest LLC for the supply of 2,000 tons of potatoes. To date, more than 66 tons of fruit has been shipped from Issyk-Kul Oblast to Uzbekistan.
Phytosanitary certification carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Uzbek side.
