Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2024 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan is strengthening control over the quality of goods at the stage of importation into the country, the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry reported.
In order to protect public health and exclude the importation of low-quality and unsafe products into Kyrgyzstan, the Department of Chemicalization, enhanced measures aimed at ensuring phytosanitary safety were introduced.
In this regard, control over the quality of goods at the stage of importation is strengthened, which will contribute to reducing the risks associated with the potential threat of harmful organisms and harmful substances:
- tightening phytosanitary control at borders, including checking documents and quality certificates for products.
- conducting thorough laboratory tests of imported products for the presence of pests and pesticide residues.
"These measures are aimed at protecting the health of citizens, as well as maintaining fair competition in the market. We call on all participants of foreign economic activity to follow the established phytosanitary requirements and ensure the delivery of only certified and quality products," the report says.
