Bishkek, Aug. 15, 2018. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan in the first half of this year more than 260 projects estimated at 37 million soms (about $550 thousand) were implemented, Executive Director of the Republican Fund for Environmental Protection and Forestry Development, Kenesh Dzhumabekov told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He said that project applications were received from local government bodies, and 261 projects were considered in six months.
“379 thousand soms have been spent for planting greenery and improving residential areas in provinces. Such projects are still under consideration by the Board of the Fund, and are to be discussed at the next meeting,” he said.
He noted that the Fund’s Board paid a special attention to support projects on spreading alternative energy sources.
