Bishkek, June 11, 2024. /Kabar/. The first liver transplantation operation in Kyrgyzstan has been successfully completed, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The operation lasted 8-9 hours, it involved teams of Turkish and Kyrgyz specialists led by Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alymkadyr Beishenaliev.
Currently, the hemodynamic parameters of both the recipient and the donor remain stable, the report said.
According to the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, the team of doctors who performed the operation are very pleased with the result.
“The donor liver began to function immediately after transplantation, which is a good sign for the patient’s further recovery,” he said.
