Kyrgyzstan supplies electricity to Uzbekistan from June 16

Bishkek, July 6 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan agreed with Uzbekistan on the supply of electricity in summer, the National Energy Holding of Kyrgyzstan reports.

From June 16 to July 4, 2017, Uzbekistan exported 192.5 million kWh. Under the contract it is planned to export 1.25 billion kW / h to the neighboring country, up to October.

Negotiations with potential buyers of electricity were conducted from February 2017 for rational use of water resources.

The water volume at the Toktogul reservoir on July 6 reached 18.78 billion cubic meters of water. The average daily water flow is 50 million cubic meters.

According to preliminary calculations, on July 22 the volume of water in the reservoir can reach a maximum of 19.5 billion cubic meters.
