Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan express readiness to mutually beneficially complete formation of state border line

Bishkek, Apr. 8, 2019. /Kabar/. From 4 to 6 April, the governmental delegation of Kyrgyzstan headed by Vice Prime Minister Zhenish Razakov took part in the joint meeting of the governmental delegations of the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.

The Tajik delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim, the Kyrgyz Government’s press service reported.

The meeting participants discussed issues of continuing the description of the project line of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border on the remaining sites, the possibility of exchanging land plots between countries in order to eliminate interspersed and inter-strip sites and ensure stability at the joint site of the state border, and also complete the creation of large-scale delimitation topographic maps .

Following the meeting, a protocol of the meeting was signed. The sides expressed readiness to mutually beneficially complete the formation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border line, which will serve as a guarantor of stability and good neighborliness in the border areas.
