Bishkek, Dec. 29, 2021 . / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan's national women's volleyball team won fourth place in the Asian Zonal Championships, held on Dec. 21 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
A total of six teams from Bangladesh, Maldives, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Kyrgyzstan took part in the tournament, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports said.
During the group stage, the teams played one round against each other. The Kyrgyz team scored two wins over Bangladesh and Maldives and lost to Uzbekistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
In the semifinals, Kyrgyzstan played against Sri Lanka and lost 24:26 to finish in fourth place.
