Kyrgyzstan takes additional measures to prevent import of new strain of COVID-19

Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2021 / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Nurbolot Usenbayev told about the measures taken to prevent the import of a new strain of coronavirus infection into the country.

He said that due to the fact that a new strain of coronavirus has already been identified in several countries, Kyrgyzstan is taking additional measures at checkpoints.

He recalled that Kyrgyzstan is carrying out genomic decoding of viruses in Novosibirsk.

Usenbaev also noted that a new algorithm has been developed in connection with the threat of a new strain of coronavirus. In particular, a questionnaire survey of all persons arriving in Kyrgyzstan from abroad was returned. Also, all citizens arriving in the country must have negative PCR tests.
