Bishkek, Dec. 10, 2021. / Kabar /. “The Kyrgyz Republic will make every effort not only to implement the current agenda of the EAEU, but also to expand activities in new directions,” President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said, taking over the chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union, during the final meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) via videoconferencing.
The Kyrgyz president recalled that next year 10 years will be turned since the start of the work of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
He believes that this landmark event must be used to achieve the maximum effect from the spread of the ideas of the EAEU and its popularization in society.
Sadyr Zhaparov proposed to conduct large-scale information campaigns and targeted events in all member states.
Also, President Sadyr Zhaparov expressed special gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his fruitful work and perseverance in solving many key issues.
He believes that it is important to devote the next year to strengthening investment and cooperation, developing transport corridors, expanding trade and economic ties with entering new promising markets.
President Sadyr Zhaparov noted that it is necessary to pay special attention to the climate agenda, the introduction of green technologies, the implementation of projects in the field of e-commerce, as well as to start working out joint high-tech projects that will become symbols of the EAEU.
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an economic union of post-soviet states located in Eastern Europe, Western Asia and Central Asia. Member countries are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and observer countries are Cuba, Moldova and Uzbekistan.
