Bishkek, May 20, 2022. /Kabar/. Head of the Kyrgyz delegation, Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Nurdolot Bazarbaev made a statement within the framework of participation in the International Migration Review Forum at the United Nations in New York, the Labor Ministry said.
Bazarbaev stressed that Kyrgyzstan is not officially a party to the Global Compact. Meanwhile, the country is making the necessary efforts to strengthen its migration policy and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, which also include all 23 goals and objectives of the Global Compact.
The head of the delegation noted that Kyrgyzstan strives to ensure for each citizen moving both within the country and abroad decent living conditions and protection of their rights and interests.
It was emphasized that the main goal of the migration policy of the republic is to stabilize migration processes through the implementation of state programs, aimed at mitigating the adverse factors causing and accompanying migration and creating conditions for the maximum realization of migration potential under the Concept of Migration Policy of the country.
The deputy minister informed that a Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad was established in the country to improve the skills of labor migrants planning to leave and learn the migration rules of the host country.
At the end of his speech, Nurdolot Bazarbaev expressed gratitude to the UN Migration Network, organizers of the Forum and partners, including the International Organization for Migration for the fruitful cooperation and assistance provided.
