Kyrgyzstan takes part in meeting of Advisory Council on monetary policy of central banks of EAEU member states

Bishkek, June 20, 2024. /Kabar/. Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanychbek Bokontaev took part in the 26th meeting of the Advisory Council on the Monetary Policy of Central (National) Banks of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union and the 50th meeting of the Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks.

According to the regulator, the events took place on June 16-19, 2024 in Sochi, Russia.

During the 26th meeting of the Advisory Council, the parties discussed the monetary policy pursued by the central banks of the EAEU countries, as well as issues of harmonization of legislation in the field of financial markets.

As part of the the 50th meeting of the Eurasian Council of Central Banks agenda, issues of banking activities, the main directions of monetary policy, the activities of central (national) banks - members of the Eurasian Council in the area of ​​ESG, as well as experience in regulating virtual assets were considered. In addition, information was presented on the activities of specialized coordination councils on the issues of professional training of personnel of central (national) banks, the issuance of banknotes, the development of the numismatic market, and the fight against counterfeiting.
