Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2020 / Kabar /. Measures of sanitary and epidemiological safety are being strengthened in public places, transport, catering points, shopping centers in Kyrgyzstan.
The country's Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov, at a meeting of the republican headquarters on COVID-19, expressed concern about the growing incidence of coronavirus infection among the population in several regions of the country, the press service of the Kyrgyz government repored.
At the same time, he criticized the work of local authorities and internal affairs bodies for weak, ineffective and insufficient control over the observance of sanitary measures and the imposed prohibitions.
“The last few days there has been an unfavorable epidemiological situation in a number of regions of the country. The incidence rate and the number of people in serious condition are growing,” the prime minister said.
Boronov stressed the necessity to increase all security measures, including conducting inspections on compliance with sanitary standards in public places, transport, markets, shopping centers, restaurants.
“The mask mode must be strictly observed. In addition, it is necessary to carry out high-quality work on epidemiological investigations and control over compliance with home quarantine of contact persons,” he said.
Boronov emphasized the high responsibility of the leaders of local authorities to maintain a favorable epidemiological situation and curb the growth of morbidity in the country.
Lately, the COVID-19 incidence rate has been increasing in some regions of the country, namley in Osh, Batken and Jalal-Abad Oblasts.
In total, 46,522 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan since the pandemic.
