Kyrgyzstan to adopt best practices of Dubai police

Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2018. /Kabar/. Within the framework of participation in the 6th World Summit of Governments in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov has visited the Headquarters of the Dubai Police, where he got acquainted with the activities of police and the results of applying advanced technologies in protecting the public order, the Kyrgyz Government’s press service reported.

The head of the Dubai police Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri showed a control center that allows to monitor the situation on the streets of the city with the help of 8000 cameras, additional mobile devices, a satellite and a drone.

These devices automatically detect violations and recognize the faces of citizens.

The Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic stressed that the purpose of visiting the Headquarters is to adopt the experience of Dubai in the implementation of the Smart City project in Kyrgyzstan.

Prime Minister Isakov invited representatives of the Dubai Police Headquarters to visit Kyrgyzstan for the exchange of experience and detailed discussion of cooperation issues.

From his part head of the Dubai police said that they ready to send you our experts to assist in the implementation of the Smart City project.

In addition, there is a multifunctional mobile application "Dubai Police" in Dubai for residents, which is used by more than two million citizens. They can monitor what is happening in the city, pay fines, apply for help at critical moments, report an accident, suspicious and illegal activity, and get advice from relevant state bodies and an insurance company.

An oral agreement was reached during the visit that the cadets of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will undergo advanced training courses and will have an opportunity to exchange experience at the Police Academy of Dubai.

Also, upon arrival of the representatives of the Headquarters of the Dubai Police in Kyrgyzstan, a memorandum on mutual cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the two countries will be signed.

Isakov stressed that already in many countries the implementation of such projects gives very good results, thanks to the digitalization of cities the corruption manifestations are reduced several times, and fines for violations replenish the local budget.

Furhet Isakov got acquainted with the activities of the structural units of the police and with the advanced technologies and equipment used by the Dubai Police Headquarters.

The Prime Minister also visited one of the sections of the Smart Police Station, where the latest technology of the Dubai police was demonstrated, in which every resident and guest can use the services of the police.
