Bishkek, May 16, 2022. /Kabar/. More than KGS 2 billion will be allocated from the republican budget to increase benefits and improve the quality of life of low-income families and people with disabilities, Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan Kudaibergen Bazarbaev said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
Thus:
- KGS 1 billion 191 million will be allocated to increase the monthly allowance to needy citizens (families) with children under the age of 16 years;
- KGS 570 million for payment of personal assistant services to people with disabilities from childhood of group I (over 18 years), in need of constant care and supervision;
- KGS 240 million to increase monthly social allowance to persons with disabilities from the general disease.
"President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov pays close attention to the social sphere. Thus, if earlier the increase of social benefits was once in 5-6 years by 5-10%, since October 2021 this is the third increase in both social and other payments,” the minister said.
Bazarbaev added that Kyrgyzstan is the only country in the post-Soviet space, which has the services of a personal assistant for persons with disabilities.
